My name is Natascha Hochhold and I started to attend dogshows as a teenage girl. After years of competing in Juniorhandling competitions and being Austria’s representative at Crufts 2010 I tried to find my own way in the dogworld, which also meant I wanted to find THE ONE breed for me. I bought my first dog when I was aged 20 and flew to Lithuania to get her – Holly the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen bitch was the beginning of a wonderful and exciting journey. I also met Mak at dogshows here in Austria. I have known him since my early beginnings in Juniorhandling, but it took me quite a while to figure out that he was more than a friend for me.
Trough Mak and Holly I got more into dogshows and showing. We travelled a lot together and Holly surely gave me some big opportunities to move on with the breed and handling: I had a lovely Petit visitor here first teaching me a lot about PBGVs, followed by Quelle the Grand Basset Griffon Vendeen. Until now I’m a proud (co-)owner and handler of all these lovely dogs, we had some lovely wins and I can’t wait what the future will bring.
With all of Mak’s passion for his idea, he convinced me to help him with ProDog. I believe we built up a lovely project and there sure is more to come and more to hear in the future. I couldn’t be any happier for being an important part of this magazine.
